Kindness of strangers
I’ve been a bit rubbish about telling people this, so I’m putting it out here. I’m going to be homeless in a week. Scary. (Yes, I’m terrified). Here’s my couchsurfing profile in case you have crash space. If you have storage space instead / also, that’s ace. Let me know? Thanks inspirewithhope AT gmail DOT com

Writing habits
I’ve not written here for a while, but… I’m writing lots in my journal. I’m experimenting with different journalling styles, with a view to some collaborative writing stuff too. I’m playing with some ideas for novels. I started re-writing the Rent screenplay in my head. I created a zine called Brazen (I’m not sure if it’s finished yet) last month....

weeping - not always - but today, i am - weeping - won’t be forever, but today i surrender - weeping - you’re far away - silence deafens - thoughts of you threaten to sweep me away and it won’t be the same - tomorrow - but still - today - weeping - disconnected - so i practise remembering love - there was a time when i felt it so strongly - can i recall it - disconnected - ...

Love Drunk
my face - fixed - in a permanent grin - inanely - perturbing - passers-by - singing - not quite at the top of my voice - nearly - sometimes - i - refrain - restrained - holding back - from sharing the utter delight - of being with you - in being with you - that being with you - brings - and when i - sometimes - stop - smiling - finally - i find - suddenly - i find my...

Cantata
can’t take my eyes off of you - can’t take my eyes off of you - can’t take my eyes off of you - until I do - dragging them unwillingly away - when you look at me - i melt - i fold - i hope - most of the time - my face - cracks - love - pours - out - you are the light - and the darkness - you are energy - and the day’s rest - warm affection - the need...

Writing, mood and inspiration
When it comes to poetry, I’m much more prolific when I’m feeling really down. I’m pretty expressive when I’m feeling really happy too - usually lots of rambling about how love and stuff are amazing in a very free, organic and repetitive way. This Futurama quotation holds significance for me; I might get a poem out of it after I’ve had some sleep… “I...

Home
I belong under this great big sky With sunshine and moonlight… Completely alone With nature. The whole world for me - And I can go as I please and where I choose. When cats cuddle up to me - When those I love hug me - When people listen to me, making time and leaving space for me. When you - I adore - look at me With adoring eyes.

Fear of failure, fear of success...
I’m excited, terrified & impatient about life. I’m scared I’m doing the wrong thing. Remembering Steve Pavlina’s Ready-Fire-Aim approach helps, i.e. don’t get stuck just planning stuff forever. (Scroll down to “Failure is your friend”) Now, I just have to be courageous & leap into the unknown; otherwise I’ll be forever teetering on the...

In case you weren’t aware, In some cases, being de-ranked also means being removed from Amazon’s search results. Los Angeles Times asked for further explanation of the glitch… Patty Smith [Amazon Director of Corporate Communications] said, “Unfortunately, I’m not able to comment further.” Helpful(!) If it’s a glitch, why did Amazon originally tell so...

Blogging professionally
I’ve been getting back into blogging a bit more lately. Mostly I’ve been tweeting my socks off, but it’s time to publish more than 140 characters a pop! So, I signed up to 31 Days to Build a Better Blog and I’m planning to do a SWOT Analysis (looking at the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of something). By the way, #31DBBB has been postponed until 6th...
