Kindness of strangers
I’ve been a bit rubbish about telling people this, so I’m putting it out here.
I’m going to be homeless in a week. Scary. (Yes, I’m terrified).
Here’s my couchsurfing profile in case you have crash space.
If you have storage space instead / also, that’s ace. Let me know?
Thanks

Writing habits
I’ve not written here for a while, but…
I’m writing lots in my journal.
I’m experimenting with different journalling styles, with a view to some collaborative writing stuff too.
I’m playing with some ideas for novels.
I started re-writing the Rent screenplay in my head.
I created a zine called Brazen (I’m not sure if it’s finished yet) last month....

You arrive at the strangest times When I’m cooking or reading or falling in love With flamed wings You light me up like a choir Then burn me like thunder
As predicted I fly with you I am light, I feel heavy I see things, that only angels see And I wonder, why me
Landing is always easy The ground is like the keys of a piano That my feet softly play

I write such powerfully poignant poetry & prose when I’m miserable. I don’t appreciate it that much at the time, but I am now.

Writing, mood and inspiration
When it comes to poetry, I’m much more prolific when I’m feeling really down.
I’m pretty expressive when I’m feeling really happy too - usually lots of rambling about how love and stuff are amazing in a very free, organic and repetitive way.
This Futurama quotation holds significance for me; I might get a poem out of it after I’ve had some sleep… “I...

Home
I belong under this great big sky
With sunshine and moonlight…
Completely alone
With nature.
The whole world for me -
And I can go as I please and where I choose.
When cats cuddle up to me -
When those I love hug me -
When people listen to me, making time and leaving space for me.
When you - I adore - look at me
With adoring eyes.

Fear of failure, fear of success...
I’m excited, terrified & impatient about life.
I’m scared I’m doing the wrong thing.
Remembering Steve Pavlina’s Ready-Fire-Aim approach helps, i.e. don’t get stuck just planning stuff forever. (Scroll down to “Failure is your friend”)
Now, I just have to be courageous & leap into the unknown; otherwise I’ll be forever teetering on the...

In case you weren’t aware, In some cases, being de-ranked also means being removed from Amazon’s search results.
